After playing bass guitar for over half of my life, I’ve only really learned two scales: the major and natural minor scales.
The major scale can be written as R W W H W W W H where R is the root note, W is a whole step, and H is a half step.
The major scale is similar: R W H W W H W W.
But with a new instrument comes new scales. Over the next week, I’ll practice a few new ones; the minor pentatonic scale, the extensions of the major and minor scales, and the Dorian mode.
A good resource for these scales can be found here.
Riffing
The riffing continues! I’ve got a few new ones I’m developing and I’ll post some recordings next week.

Good resources. I’ve used that site a bunch in the past.
